I need a new phone, iPhone 12 or 13?

I dropped my iPhone 11 yesterday and cracked the screen, it’s not worth paying to replace it, I’m going to buy refurbished, is the 12 good enough or is there any reason I should go for the 13 and spend a bit extra? Shamelessly posting here for traffic as I need to order today.

Download the Apple Store app and you can compare iPhone models. The 13 has a better chip and battery and starts at 128GB So it will be faster and the battery will last longer and more memory

13 will be a bit faster and might get updates a year longer… not a lot of difference.

Always go for the newest model you can, you'll get software support for longer.

Go for the 14 or 15 if you can.

Are you sure it isn’t worth repairing, I just had an iPhone screen and OLED repaired for £35 obviously not Apple but it works perfectly

Any thoughts on the size of the phones? I have quite small hands and struggle to hold and use my iPhone 11 with just one- I wouldn’t want to go bigger (also it won’t fit in my pockets). The SE was a great size for me!

I love the SE because it’s the smallest one I can find. The others are ridiculously big and heavy for my hands. I’d buy a new iPhone if it was small enough, but all they seem to do is sell huge monstrosities for big man hands. Guess they’re too busy thinking about the computer screen interface and technology than boring old physical size and weight. Mines a few years old now, I don’t even know what year it came out.

No point going for a 12 or 13, it won't be long before the software and apps will barely work on them. Go for a newer model.
