Does anyone know what I mean here?

Some of my female friends say the same about their husbands/partners and I’m wondering if this is a thing. This is lighthearted btw.

So dh will tell me something interesting that happened or that someone said to him, but he leaves out detail. When I ask him to tell me exactly what they said/what happened, it’s like I have to drag the information out of him.

So for example (not real scenario). Dh will tell me that he went up the high street and two women were having a fight and he ended up getting knocked over. But he leaves out all the detail, then when I ask more he’ll say “well what more is there to say”.

Or he’ll say he went to his parents and his sister is moving to Spain. I’ll be asking why, how, when and he’s like “I dunno 🤷‍♀️”.

Aibu to think if you’re going to tell someone something juicy that you give detail?

It’s like they don’t pay attention so you can’t get the full picture. Giving scraps or half a story isn’t enough to judge or gossip about! Totally unreasonable.

My dh does this, also if he goes out with friends and I ask any news/ what did you you talk about. I get
‘ not much’ it’s like talking to a teenager about their day at school.

YANBU, my DH is annoyingly like this! 🤣

He'll normally say he's seen something on the internet and just gives really scant detail.

When I ask him more about it, he'll say "Oh I dunno, I didn't actually click the link and read it" 😳

People like this are really boring. I like someone who can tell a good story.

MIL is a massive gossip so DH came to me very well trained on giving as much detail as possible when telling me about stuff that has happened.
