AirPods- what’s should I do?

My son lost his AirPods at school yesterday.
we tracked them across town yesterday to another house.
would you go and knock on the door?
I want to knock on the door and non-confrontationally ask if they have been picked up “by mistake”.

Why wouldn't you? It could be the home of one of your son's friends, and they're just keeping them safe until school on Monday.

They changed the name of the headphones so I doubt it very much- sorry to drip feed

This happened to us and we just showed the tracking showing the AirPods were in the house. The dad was not pleased and demanded the son gave them back’

But surely it's worth a try? If they were lost at school, it was probably another kid who picked them up. If you knock on the door and speak to a parent, it's likely they will hand them over, even if the kid thinks they can keep them.
