I find it very annoying when a good fight discussion is going on on a thread and then the limit is hit and discussion ends. For a personal thread or a curated thread it's obviously not impossible to start a follow up thread, but on fast moving debates the threads just end up timing out.
I am wondering why the limit is set where it is and also why have one at all? I am sure it is for a sensible technical reason but would be interested to know.
