Going to Dubai in 2 weeks with DH - is it safe

Booked to go Dubai in 2 weeks time with DH however I’m now worried there will be some kind of terrorist attack. AIBU to think this?

Why would there be a terrorist attack in Dubai? Who do you think would be behind it? And why now?

Is it safe for who OP?
Given all the information that is coming out about the trafficked African women and the two tier life style Dubai is definitely not safe for a lot of people.

Of course it's safe. Some people may dislike the regime in the UAE, but it's no more likely than London, Paris or Rome to suffer a terrorist attack (probably less).
And even so, if you never went anywhere at risk of an attack, you'd never leave the house.
Just go, and enjoy your holiday!

Why would it not be safe? It’s one of the safest places in the world for a Western tourist.

Did you listen to the BBC podcast on this too? Really awful and I must admit I was pretty ignorant of all this until I listened to it.

Yes I heard about it on Woman's Hour and made a point of watching it.

I wasn't enamoured with Dubai before I watched it but I found this truly disturbing and upsetting.

I don’t understand why anyone would want to go to Dubai, except to change planes to fly on to Australia. So many more interesting places to visit.
