Part 2: Date jokingly called me a 'pedo'.

Hi all,

Just wanted to say thank you for all your responses in my last thread.

In my last thread a few weeks ago, I mentioned I went on a date (one and only date) with a man. I'm a paediatrician - and he thought the word was 'hilarious' and kept jokingly calling me a 'pedo' throughout the evening. I was unimpressed to say the least.

In my last thread; I asked whether or not I should block him - or tell him to 'FO' over text. I blocked him over iMessage and WhatsApp.

Sadly, he texted from another number about a week later - I had already forgotten about him, frankly.

He called me a 'snobby bitch' in the text. Blocked him again.

Anyway, just goes to show what kind of man he was.

As I said in my previous thread, I've had a really tough few years with losing my father - and then losing my partner, plus my career being arduous/stressful (whilst also rewarding, to be clear!)

Next month, I am getting a rescue dog. I'm off dating - and that's just fine with me. Me and my dog can live in peace - away from shitty men. If I meet someone lovely, that would be great. If not; that's ok too.

I read your last thread, what an idiot, well done on swiftly getting rid of him.

Please report that to the dating site. I'd also just email your local police explain what happened say you really uncomfortable with his behaviour and want it noted in case it escalates or in case there are other complaints about him.

Good on you for not putting up with that crass nonsense.

Our beloved rescue DDog was one of the best things to happen to either me or DH and I hope you have many happy years with yours, as we did. Also, I met DH2 (after being widowed) when I least expected it. Good things can happen.

And just to add I gave up dating in my mid forties just sick of all the bullshit then met a guy at the gym who moved in 3 weeks later and is still here 18 years on.

i agree with other posters, who say to log with police and also let the site know what he’s done.
