Teacher telling 5 y/o off

I was in a charity shop yesterday and one of the volunteers was telling the other how her 5 year old daughter had come back from school saying she didn’t want to go in again. Turns out the teacher had told her off for talking in class. Said volunteer said she was ready to go into school ‘to knock the teacher out’ as ‘she’s 5 for god’s sake, give them a break!’
I have a child who’s 5 and although I’d hate to see they’re upset, I’d expect the teacher to tell them to stop talking as that’s what’s expected. I’m not a teacher myself but felt the mother’s reaction is everything that’s wrong at the moment with parents making complaints about all kinds of trivial things. AIBU?

Good grief what an absolute bell end of a mother!

When her child is 15 and causing havoc, no doubt she’ll be claiming everyone else is being too harsh and she’s just a baby going through a phase.

This crap is why we shell out for private school. Entitled parents raising entitled children, disrupting the ones who want to learn. Poor teachers.

I’m surprised anyone would be a teacher having to put up with this utter shite. They can never earn enough as far as I’m concerned.

Who would be a bloody primary school teacher these days, not because of the kids, its the loony parents they have to worry about.
Parents at my dc school can no longer enter the playground. Sports day is spent with us peering through the 10ft fence to see our little darlings perform. All because of a couple of aggressive parents.
