Support for freshers mums

I just wanted to post here and offer support to any mums of freshers or mums struggling with uni return.
Last year my DD went off to uni and I was devastated so I posted on here, I felt so supported and realised I wasn’t on my own in how I was feeling. So to all freshers mums, 2nd or 3rd years remember to not only be proud of your child but be proud of the amazing human you have raised. Each day gets easier, be kind to yourself, it’s ok to cry, it’s ok to miss them and it’s ok to get on with your life while they are living their best life!

My SS is off to uni on Sunday. So far the main focus has been making sure he has all the provisions required. I'm a feeder so do worry about him not eating enough, but he is a very capable young man and is bringing his car so he can get to supermarkets etc.

It will be weird without him, we will all miss him, especially his younger brother, but I'm sure he will be back for visits.

These last couple of weeks I've been doing cooking lessons with him and showing him how to do the laundry etc so I think we are sending him off well prepared.

More than anything, I feel excited for him! He's entering what should be the best years of his life and hope he has the time of his life.
