To CBA go solo travelling?

I just had a two weeks holiday in August. Swapping jobs which means I will have 3 weeks between roles. None of my friends have any annual leave and dp has to work.

Everyone is telling me to go on an adventure. But AIBU to CBA go?

I love travel but like doing it with people. Travelling alone is just so much more expensive. I don’t want to stay in uncomfortable places but £200 a night between two is fine but for one person is not ok.

Which country were you thinking? There will be places you can get very comfortable accommodation for £100 per night.

What does CBA mean?

What does CBA mean?

Can’t be arsed.

I mean if you want to stay home that’s fine, but I love to use any time I have – in your position I’d join a group tour where it’s all sorted for you. I’ve made some of my best friends doing this. I wouldn’t enjoy three weeks at home though, but everyone’s different!

Lots of people would love 3 weeks off to do exactly what they want - whether it's a home improvement thing, nothing much at all with just a relax or canoeing down the Nile....

It's your time - do your thing. 20 years ago I'd have been signing up for the Inca Trail with 3 weeks off - now I'd be more likely to go for a weekend away and spend the rest of the time in the garden.

Can’t be arsed.

Well I assumed it wasn't that as then the question reads, "Am I being unreasonable to can't be arsed go?"

If you don’t want to, don’t. But there are about 100 countries you can get a lovely place to stay for under 200 quid a night! I’d be off like a shot!
