It has been pissing down here all day. I have Very Important business to attend to but I can't possibly go outside in this weather, my beautiful coat will get ruined.

I have asked repeatedly for my PA to do something about this rain, i.e. turn it off, so I can leave the residence so I can attend to my Very Important business but she keeps insisting that simply isn't possible. I think that, quite frankly, if she keeps up with this attitude, she will soon be looking for employment elsewhere.

So, AIBU, or is the PA?

You are absolutely not being unreasonable. Your slave should know better. Ps. You are gorgeous!

80sballetgirl · 20/09/2025 19:43

You just can’t get the staff these days!

highlandponymummy · 20/09/2025 19:44

You are not being unreasonable at all! She should follow you out with an umbrella

Springadorable · 20/09/2025 19:44

Yanbu. In defence of your PA though, my PA asked Claude AI today when the last dry day was in Swansea and it could provide an answer.

CatsRuleMyLife · 20/09/2025 19:44

One of mine has just gone outside in the pissing rain and will come back in whingeing that I didn't turn off the rain for him. It's all my fault apparently.

thistimelastweek · 20/09/2025 19:45

Rubbish post

FuzzyWolf · 20/09/2025 19:47

Clearly your PA is unaware that cats should be treated like gods! YANBU.

peoplepersonhere · 20/09/2025 19:47

Today seems like a good day to poo in your staffs bed for the sheer disrespect shown to you today. Stay strong

Confusedmeanderings · 20/09/2025 19:48

Definitely the PA. The sole reason for their existence is to carry out your wishes.

Idstillratherbepaddleboarding · 20/09/2025 19:50

YANBU, I’ve asked mum to turn off the rain too but she hasn’t. She manages to turn the house rain on and off at will. I’ve tried the front door and both patio doors but it’s raining outside of every one! Mum dragged me out in it earlier because I’m just a baby but it was horrible and mum kept saying, “fucking weather” the whole time. I tried shaking but I was still all wet 😡. Luckily mum has provided me with a nice bed that I never sleep in but it’s great for humping when you need to get off some excess energy.

Do what I did and wee in the laundry pile basket.

Vitriolinsanity · 20/09/2025 19:58

Why isn’t the PA out with a golf umbrella over the fur of love?????

Why, thank you! You can interview for the job once I've relieved the PA of her duties 😸

Oh!!! Are you a Viszla? Get a new mummy. Or a Hunter jacket like my HV niece.

You would think it is the least she could do

But of course it is!

PA is trying to get back in my good books but it isn't cutting the mustard

My boss enjoys attending his business and returning grumpy until he is swaddled and dry rubbed in the best towel in the house.

Maybe educate your PA in the art of a therapeutic drying off so you can enjoy some space treatment once your business is concluded.

TheJustJoker · 20/09/2025 20:27

YANBU. Time to get on LinkedIn and find a better calibre of slave!

Tortielady · 20/09/2025 20:28

If I could get decent staff, this useless pair would be out on their backsides. It's been raining all day and have they done anything about it? They have not. The service in this establishment is terrible and I have to share what there is with a loud red idiot who steals all the best sleeping places.

My PA had invested in a rather expensive Barbour coat for me, and was excited for me to have the opportunity to wear it today. I decided to have a roll in some cow poop to pay her back for dragging me out in this pissing down rain, and my lovely expensive coat is now swirling round in the metal box with the round window….

Excuse meee I’m a fox red Labrador! Although I do have a couple of visla friends and I have nothing against them. A Hunter jacket sounds very posh but I am not a fan of clothes, I’m not sure why my humans spend so much time changing them and washing them when they could just grow beautiful red fur like me and spend more time cuddling (actually preferably feeding) me!

Sounds sensible, you made yourself smell wonderful and now you can entertain yourself on this horrible day by watching your coat spin round and round!

I think this is a brilliant post. Thanks OP. No pets here, but loving the comments
