Christmas new year away

Hi , I’ve left it quite late but we would like a getaway at Christmas with our 19 year old
I was looking at Gran Canaria but my friend put me off she said she went one year and it was very cold
any advice please ? Or ideas I can’t make up my mind

Cyprus? My relatives went there during December a couple of years ago and said it was lovely.
Unsure about Gran Canaria but Fuerteventura in January was warm

The Caribbean would be warm then, probably the most ideal time to go there in fact.

I've been to the Canary Island in winter and it's been warm, probably one of the warmest places in Europe in fact, if you don't want to go too far.

I went to GC in January one year. It was in the low to mid twenties heat wise but chillier at night. I didn’t find it warm enough to swim but I’m a wuss ☺️
It was beautiful driving through the mountains and most of the time I was just in a t-shirt.
