I'll start by making it clear that I didn't drink.

research suggest small amounts of alcohol aren't harmful, but nobody can tell you how small you should drink. So don't.

This is the second thread in 2 days in AIBU about this very same question!

And my view is still the same: safer to have no alcohol in pregnancy because some people will have a very skewed view of what is a small amount. And why put your precious unborn child at risk?

Is smoking ok too? A small line of cocaine?

Its wrong in any amount, as is smoking and illegal drugs. You need to be prepared to give up things that are harmful to the baby when another life depends on you to do so. I'll be honest I'm more upset about not being able to eat pate and certain cheeses but I'll still do it.
