Should I hire a new tutor?

My child has some issues with phonics/reading. I hired a tutor in May and have been having regular lessons even during summer holiday until towards the end where the tutor went on holiday.

The next session was supposed to be this weekend but I try to contact her multiple times this week to get confirmation but she did not reply.

Should I just move on and get a new tutor?

Thanks

It really depends on whether she’s still on holiday. If she is then she won’t be checking her work messages. If you have it in writing that the next session is this weekend then I’d assume it’s going ahead. If not I would wait until 24 hours beforehand and message to say you have assumed the session isn’t going ahead as you’ve had no confirmation. I don’t think you can blame her for taking a holiday though if that’s what has happened.

No she is not on holiday as she is a teacher and told me she will be back at work in early September.

Let's hope she can still do it because I would have liked some advance notification to get a new tutor if she is not interested/available anymore.
