To be pissed off at ex eh?

I am so mad right now. My 14 year old is supposed to see his dad on Saturday but always cancels. I’ve reminded him of his responsibilities several times this last few weeks. Lewis Cipaldi is in concert this weekend. We wanted to go but couldn’t get tickets. I intend try again on Friday for the new dates. His dad bags a ticket from his adult daughter and says to DS that if I buy him a resale ticket hi can go with them? Am I right to be absolutely fuming about this? Surely if he wants him to go he buys him a ticket and doesn’t expect me to especially as it’s his time with him! So now I either buys DS a ticket and I don’t go at all or I buy him a ticket and also try to get tickets for next year which would cost me even more!! I’m so annoyed with him.

I think I'd calmly explain to ex and DS that on his time to parent, he has to parent, which includes any outlay.

I would also explain to DS that you're trying to get tickets for another time to minimise any disappointment when ex potentially refuses to buy the ticket and paint you as the bad guy.

Yer I’ve said that to DS but it stings that dad is the fun parent and his sister will be there too so would prefer to go with them. I just hate that his dad has put him and me in this position.

Buy 2 tickets for the same concert as his dad, and you and DS go together.

The problem is in resale they are really expensive.
