Best curry in the curry mile?

Looking for recommendations please for Manchester’s Curry Mile. I’ve only been to one restaurant previously but it was a long time ago and it’s no longer there. TIA.

Dishoom on Bridge Street is far nicer than anywhere you will find on the curry mile, its become even more rough over the last few years.

Or Mowgli on Exchange Street.

Chit and chaat is quite good, but to be honest most aren’t overly great, which you’ll see due to the lack of south asian customers.

Avoid the curry mile it caters for drunk people. Go somewhere a little more off the beaten track.

Dishoom is marvellous, but it's not a curry house and it's a chain.

Unfortunately the curry mile isn't what it used to be, but there are some fantastic curry places in town now.

Asha's on Peter Street and Sangam on Portland street are both excellent and would recommend.

I used to love the Shere Kahn, is it still there?

None! Dishoom and Delhi House Cafe in Corn exchange are great. I like Chit n chaat for their snack items.

I would give the curry mile a miss and go to zouk, vermillion or akbars. They are all in Manchester

Mughli is good. Dishoom is nice too but obviously not on curry mile. I quite like zouk and dh likes Akbar’s.
Kabana is a proper Manchester institution though.
