Should I go to a comedy gig alone?

Quick vote! I've got twenty minutes to decide.

Pros: it gets me out of the house
It will be fun

Con: it's raining
I'll have to get the last bus home: will get home around midnight and I'm working tomorrow

YABU: go and enjoy it
YANBU: stay home and chill with a book

You should go and have fun, by then again if it’s a smallish gig I’d worry about getting picked on by the comedian!

Yeah, small venue, but I don't think he's the picking on type. And I would sit at the back if I can!

Go for it! I went travelling by myself and would go to things like the theatre, cinema, opera etc on my own all the time - I loved it! Xxx

I love going to places alone, I'm off to see a gig next week by myself and I'm absolutely buzzing for it.

By and large I believe you regret what you don’t do more than what you do . And you did buy the ticket so it must have appealed initially.

I also go to things alone pretty frequently. I'm delighted to see so many people on here that feel the same way about that - so many people seem to think it's odd, but I've had some great nights and met some wonderful people on solo nights out!

And a wee bonus, it finished 18 minutes ahead of the scheduled time (they didn't have a break between the support and the main act), so I'm going to be home an hour earlier than expected.
