Should I give up on love

I’m 40 single parent and have been dating but no success for 3years. Ideally I would like to meet someone to build long term relationship. I’m just fed up of being on my own. Doing OLD no success. The dating, chatting and thinking when do I meet my person is taking over my mental space and I don’t like it at all.. feel like I want to give up and just focus on living and doing things I really enjoy. But I always worry if I will find my person.. so disheartening. I don’t go out much as always have the kids so my only place to find people is online.. any success stories from anyone

I think you should focus on the things you enjoy and live your life, meeting someone / OLD can be part of your life but not the centre of it. You need to have your own interests and things going on.

I met my husband through OLD so yes it can work, but we both had busy, full lives which set things up for a healthy foundation.

Finding love is tough, so maybe try a different approach. Instead of actively searching, focus on what you enjoy, like book clubs or art classes, and you might stumble upon love when you're not even looking.
