Hi all,
Looking for some advice. I’ve always been quite slim (56-57kg, 172cm). I’ve had previous surgeries for dermoid cysts and also have PCOS. In February, I had an ultrasound which confirmed a 2 dermoid cysts on the same ovary (one was 4cm and the other 2cm).
The pain has been getting progressively worse and I no longer have intercourse due to the shooting pain I get on the right hand side (cysts are on the right ovary).
I finally had my appointment with the consultant on Friday and when they took my weight I was 62kg. When I was weighed last month (for an another reason), I was 57kg.
I’m wondering how the hell I’ve gained 5kg in one month. I’m a single mum and haven’t been eating much at all as I’m normally running around after my 2 young dc. I’m eating less than I used to as I start getting a pelvic pain shortly after eating. I normally have 2 slices of brown toast for breakfast, often skip lunch and will have a small, healthy dinner which I eat around 5pm. I don’t snack during the day.
I have been walking much more than before and don’t drink any alcohol.
Im wondering what could have caused it and if it could be down to the cyst if it has grown or Pcos. My legs and arms are the same size as before but I have noticed my belly is swollen most of the time and my jeans feel a lot tighter on my waist. Surely the cyst wouldn't weight much at all at the size it was.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice appreciated!
