Messed up.

Spent £200 (price plus shipping) on a Daughter’s of India dress and clicked on the wrong size.

Return’s are a nightmare as I have to pay shipping.

Thoughts?

Try and sell it (but even unworn with tags I think I’ll be lucky to get even £75).

Accept I’ve messed up and give to the charity shop and hope the money goes to a good cause?

Gift to someone? Though not really the size/style of anyone I’m close to. I bought XS rather than S though god knows how.

Surely even after paying return shipping you’d still be better off than selling via vinted?

Annoying for you

It costs less than £5 to ship a dress. Just send it back, pay the shipping, and get your £200 back, that makes far more sense than either selling it for £75 or giving it away.

Has it arrived yet OP? That style looks very flowy and loose. Will it definitely not fit?

WaterfallSounds · 12/09/2025 20:55

The op has to return it to Australia.
I think that will cost more than £5

But even if it's £20 she'd be better off than selling for £75?

This - a lot more than £5 and the return app won’t even let me print a label.

Looks like I missed the small print on returns as seemingly not available to the UK.
