Teenager ticklers

Teens get bad press and I am sure the 6 weeks holidays have been a test of character and patience..

So what funny things have your teens done to lighten the parenting mental load ?
..
I heard ds 16 saying
"where have you been my beauty come here."
He'd spotted a nice loaf in the freezer!!
Made me chuckle all day!

First day back at school last week, eldest child could only find one shoe. Frantic hunting to no avail. Turns out when I had asked her to throw out her old shoes when I bought the new ones, she had thrown out one old one and one new one… she had to go to school with different sized shoes…

(Very aware that we are lucky to be able
to afford to replace them and that, almost a week later, this is amusing rather than anything else.)

Same child amused me the other week when we were on the tube and there was the ‘if you see something that doesn’t look right, report it - say it, see it, sort it’ message over the speaker - she turned to me, totally deadpan and said, mum I think you need to report that man for the trainer / trouser combo… 😆
