To think I’ve identified Alien life force in action?

Bear with me here.

Last summer and this summer there have been strange occurrences in the house. Every time I treat myself to something, like a hair mask, new mascara etc, they disappear. I mean literally from being placed on a shelf in the morning and gone in the evening. DH and I are truly perplexed.

DD, who is home for the summer from uni last year and now, is equally perplexed.

It must be aliens. Would I be unreasonable to contact NASA? This could be a life defining moment for us earthlings.

Your daughter comes home from uni for the summer and suddenly your toiletries start disappearing like they did last summer? Hmmmm definitely sounds like aliens to me 🤔

I get the same but with nice treats in the fridge whenever my 19 year old son is around..he says it's aliens too

I don't think it's best that we initiate contact with alien life by accusing them of being thieves. We don't want to get off on the wrong foot.

Whilst I don't agree with the alien theory, I think it is far more likely for these items to have slipped into a parallel universe. One wonders if there is someone there who is equally puzzled about make-up items appearing spontaneously...🤔

Definitely aliens. I’d get one of those trail cam battery motion activated cameras and check the footage in the morning.

I imagine the alien will be female and have a go immediately of the item in question before quickly removing it to safe place such as her alien quarters to enjoy it further at her leisure.

If you wish to startle the alien before it is able to remove your goods, you may wish to carefully place a cushion on top of a partially open door to said room, switch off lights, and await the screams and roars from the shocked alien at midnight ish, when hit from above by said cushion on entry to the room.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable for anyone to assume that the only possible answer to this, is that Nicholas Cage has been stealthily living in your attic and only come out at dusk, to pinch all your goodies before retreating again to continue his beauty routines.

I think you must be experiencing time slips. You're being transported back in time to when you hadn't bought the items. Your future self knows you did buy them but they're not where you put them because you just haven't done it yet.
