To be really creeped out?

I got a text from a number I don’t know earlier, which just said ‘fuck off lethally!’.

It’s put me in a bit of a tailspin as I don’t know who could hate me enough to send me a text to tell me to fuck off and die. I’m pretty antisocial and don’t really deal with many people on a day to day basis, except in a sport I do which is generally very friendly.

As far as I know I don’t have enemies, except my psycho ex but I have a non mol order against him, and my gut tells me this isn’t his style.

Feeling very creeped out and it doesn’t help that DP isn’t around until tomorrow.

Please take my mind off it!

Probably some kid sending random messages to random numbers.

Did you Google the number before you blocked it?

I would have texted back and said, "You first". Before blocking.

I really hope it is just completely random and not aimed at me.

@Naws yes googled it and nothing came up, then blocked. It’s registered to three mobile but that’s all I know.

I’d delete and block the number, and think no more of it. It’s almost definitely not targeted at you.

People do this for shock value. It’s abnormal and they send it to find power in the shock of it. Best to delete and ignore it. Bunch of pathetic losers behind it all.

I keep getting calls from numbers that leave me a voicemail to say an arrest warrant is out for me. Crazy!

Thank you all. A whole day of feeling sick and anxious (past trauma from ex triggers this, I have PTSD). I did the whatsapp thing and the welcome message ‘as in hi I’m using WhatsApp’ is in Russian. Feel a lot better now as I don’t know any Russians so it’s very unlikely to be aimed at me.

Had one saying hi how are you? Asked who it was and it said you know who this is. I just blocked it. I've heard of people getting these sort of msgs to get them to engage and then it turns out to be Russian introduction agencies which I was just reminded of when I saw your most recent post OP. Just forget it most likely nothing but random.

I did the WhatsApp photo thing and the person was in Nigeria. I think it’s just scammers hoping to provoke a reaction and lure you into giving them money.
