To think they shouldn’t have extended my PIP?

I got put on a PIP and then my manager didn’t come into work for a whole month. Even before this they just said they were putting me on a PIP and sent a document and never had an actual discussion with me about the issues.

So I do get extenuating circumstances but it’s not my fault that no one monitored my PIP. So for them to extend it by another month I feel is ridiculous. Aibu?
