I’ve been spending time with my elderly neighbour, who’s been teaching me how to knit. One day while I was visiting, some of their family came round - A man and his girlfriend (she’s a bit older than me).
She sat straight on his lap with her arms around him, they were even snogging in front of everyone, and she kept looking at me while doing it. I’ve no interest in him at all so it’s not jealousy, but I found it inappropriate, especially in someone else’s home with elderly people present.
Since then, when I’ve been in my garden, I’ve noticed her glaring at me. I’ve barely said more than a polite hello to her, so I honestly don’t get what her problem is.
I should add that my elderly neighbours are very family oriented and always have people round, so it’s not unusual for relatives to be visiting when I’m there. I’m also not even sure if this is worth making a post about, but I don’t want things to become awkward. Part of me thinks next time she glares I might just say, “Everything alright?” to shut it down calmly.
AIBU to think her behaviour is unnecessary and rude?
