Where the hell is my letter?

I fucking hate Royal Mail. I sent a letter recorded delivery on Tuesday, it is marked on tracking as "we're expecting it" you're not- you have the fucking thing.

It's important, which is why I paid the extra. I have no idea where it is, it was supposed to arrive yesterday. No meaningful information is available and you can't contact them. It's not the first time it's happened.

It looks like I am going to now have to take Monday off work and get a train into London and deliver by hand.

This isnt the first time it's happened. Why are they so damn useless.

How can you go to London to 'deliver it by hand' if it's already been sent?

YANBU though .. RM are shite. Their tracking is pointless. All you get is a notification when it's been received by them, and a notification when it's delivered. No tracking en route!

Print, sign and witness another copy and take that in?

Totally dreadful and unreliable. Tracking means feck all.

we were expecting a parcel today, who ever delivered it didn’t leave it as we were out, it should have been left as no signature was required!!
can’t find anywhere online where I can complain to anyone apart from filling out an online form or automated phone message where you select options!!

A few years ago they couldn’t find a parcel I had paid through the nose to have delivered internationally and fast tracked with guaranteed delivery within a week (UK - Europe). You can guess what happened.

When I queried, I was told that ‘within a week’ only meant it would leave the UK in that time and that they couldn’t even start looking until it had been missing for 6 weeks.

Yeah right. I got onto every single one of their social media streams, tagged trading standards on the grounds they were mis-selling the service. The parcel was found within 12 hours and delivered within 18.

Get onto the socials and see if that helps.

Should’ve sent it special .. rm don’t like giving out refunds so that always gets there next day!

Special delivery gets there next day before 1pm, never had a delivery fail using that, it is a little more expensive, but if it is something so important I wouldn't even consider sending it less than special delivery.

Recorded delivery is just first class post with a signature at the end, it can take up to 5 working days to get there?

I agree they’re mostly shite but you should have sent it special delivery if time was important
