sorry, another Vinted thread. Due to RSI, I have had to give up knitting and so am selling my 4000 plus patterns that are mostly mine, but also some I inherited, so to speak, from my late mil.
There are some quite old patterns, a lot of toy-type ones, and novelties, as my mil used to knit for charities, raising thousands for them.
as Vinted now sells them I have sold quite a few patterns on there stating if vintage or not if I can and so far quite succesfully.
looking the other day I came across a booklet for a wedding outfit for Sylvanian family models. I thought as the accessories for them are expensive it would be a good one to sell.
i photographed all the photos in it, a full shot of the booklet itself, what sort of text, size etc and in the description explained briefly it was from mil, what characters it was for, made a comment an unusual pattern which i thought would be popular.
woman bought ti almost straight away, I packed it sent it then yesterday she contacted me.
Said the pattern was no good. it was a booklet and not an A4 pattern. those tend to be modern patterns. i did photograph it showing its size etc, and did not think i needed to state to everyone what size they are. The pictures should state it for me.
she is going on and on. It is apparently not unusual you can still buy it. i never said rare i meant unusual in not an everyday pattern. furthermore my mil never used computers so would not have got it from the website she quoted,
I suggested she reject the package and she would get a refund after returning it. she said too much bother.
I have had 12 hours of it now i am very disappointed that such a lovely pattern went to her!
am i being unfair thinking she is wrong complaining about the purchase or was I unfair for selling it as I did? without stating it was a booklet not A4 and not stating the size of text
