Kicked DH out into our spare bedroom

DH is big into the gym and is starting what he calls a ‘bulk’.

He has ordered mass gainer protein off Amazon which he started taking today and his stomach is in an awful state. Our living room smells like a swamp!

I’ve told him to sleep in the spare room which he has agreed to but now I feel a bit harsh. AIBU?!

Ugh, no, he pays the price for smelling awful.

I wouldn't feel bad at all, you're entitled to fresh air in your own home. He's not ill, he's done this to himself.

Tell him he switch to food protein, I was on the protein powder and it played havoc, also I think they’re very much classed as a UPF, but correct me if I’m wrong.

TwinklyNight · 23/08/2025 05:47

No, I am sure he gets it.

Just hope you’ve left the window open in the spare room. Do not feel guilty.

The protein powders are a bad idea, there’s no regulation of the industry and anything can be in Them….https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/the-hidden-dangers-of-protein-powders

unless he’s into body building….eat protein instead.
