To hate working term time?

My children are teenagers now and I have always found the holidays hard and draining as a term time worker. Yes, you don’t need to worry about childcare, but you aren’t paid for the holidays (support staff) and it’s just endless - kids at work/ kids at home. There’s never a break from your own kids or someone else’s.

I am trying to find a full time job, but wondered if anyone else has similar struggles in this area. The switch in pace from weeks of tumble weed and to hundred mile an hour term time is also brutal!

I’ve left my TA role this July. My children are now 12 and 10 so also are more independent, my eldest meets up with his new friends his made since starting year 7. I’m now training to become a driving instructor. So eventually it’ll be my own hours and days I set to work. I’ll still be able to have Christmas off and basically be self employed. This might be an option for you also?

Oh that sounds great - good for you. Not an option for me I don’t think. I’m not the most confident driver so don’t think I’d be cut out for that job.
