Anyone else find this absolutely revolting? We're not talking just a polish.

Mangotangoisshit · 16/08/2025 10:17

So what were they doing?

toomuchfaff · 16/08/2025 10:17

Hell no. Disgusting, disrespectful, entitled behaviour.

RosesAndHellebores · 16/08/2025 10:18

No!

Isittimeformynapyet · 16/08/2025 10:18

Hahaha! No 😂

washingsomuchwashing · 16/08/2025 10:20

Trimming cuticles, exfoilating, polish. I'm revolted.

Doglamp · 16/08/2025 10:22

Ew. No

Isittimeformynapyet · 16/08/2025 10:23

Rooting out the toe cheese?

FionnulaTheCooler · 16/08/2025 10:24

Anyone who removes their footwear on any sort of public transport should be first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Dryshampoofordays · 16/08/2025 10:26

I might have painted my toenails on a train while wearing open toed shoes when I was in my 20s and going on a night out! Sanding down the dead skin for others to see and breathe in is too much even for me though!!!

washingsomuchwashing · 16/08/2025 10:28

And then dusting off her legs... urgh!

OP posts:
Ddakji · 16/08/2025 10:30

So what did you say to this revolting specimen?

I was once on a tube train and a woman started to do her nails. I said “you’re JOKING” very loudly in her direction. I also told a woman off for doing the same on a bus.

Call it out.

washingsomuchwashing · 16/08/2025 10:34

I was toying with saying something as I get off. Maybe she'll think again next time. I asked someone to put headphones the other day and it worked.

How revolting

Ohthedaffodils · 16/08/2025 10:59

Yuk

DiordreBarlow · 16/08/2025 11:00

In China years ago the man on the bus next to me took off his shoes and got the filth out from under his toenails with a tooth pick.
He then ate dried chicken feet from a plastic bag.

I am not making this up.

You are my hero. I simply fumed yesterday when someone had an out loud FaceTime call with their mother at a quite smart Mayfair restaurant yesterday.

amusedbush · 16/08/2025 11:10

A few years ago, I was on a train in Paris when a woman pulled out nail clippers and started trimming her children's fingernails onto the floor of the carriage.

I didn't say anything (combination of me being young and shy, and not being fluent in the language) but I've never forgotten Envy

washingsomuchwashing · 16/08/2025 11:11

I was thinking about saying something calmly as I got off. As she was brushing off her legs one two many times, I snapped and told her she was being revolting. Blush

"Revolting" is the perfect choice of word. Says a lot, very succinctly.

What was her response?

JDM625 · 16/08/2025 11:21

I'd start faux vomiting in her direction or start a conversation on your phone with yourself 'Hi Julie, yes, I'm nearly there. Can you believe there is a minging woman on here giving herself a pedicure. Yes I know its revolting....' 🤢

washingsomuchwashing · 16/08/2025 11:28

She said I was talking on my phone (I was, quietly, and it's not a quiet carriage.) I reiterated that cleaning feet is a revolting thing to do in public. I said that bit loudly so the whole carriage could hear. I'm quite patient until I get pushed too far.

OP posts:
RubySquid · 16/08/2025 11:47

Ugh nasty. I'd have had to move. Can't stand feet at best ofvtimes

Coffeeandallthebooks · 16/08/2025 11:54

The woman behind me just pulled the window blind down and struck me on the head.
Can we swap?

Catpiece · 16/08/2025 11:56

Nothing’s private anymore is it. It’ll be someone waxing on the train next. Utterly repulsive
