Enhanced taste after gluten free??

Anyone experienced this??

I’ve been gluten free for a week.

Yesterday I started feeling like my coffee was too strong - every cup I had felt too strong. I assumed they must have changed the product or maybe my milk was off!

Today - I was eating the same sausages I buy weekly and I thought they tasted amazing - much nicer than ever before! Almost sweet tasting … DH said they tasted the same as always.

Anyway tonight I started eating my weekly treat of mint aero - the mint tastes so strong it’s almost like toothpaste in chocolate!

Then I wondered if this is something to do with me becoming gluten free???

I had a gluten free diet for 6 weeks years ago and even blueberries tasted amazing (I often think they're a bit tasteless.
The only thing I will say is when I ate bread again (I do not have a gluten intolerance) I had a REALLY bad stomach.

Funnily enough I had blueberries this morning for my breakfast in Greek yogurt and they tasted bloody amazing! The walnuts tasted weird though, really strong.

I’ve heard that about going back to gluten causing issues. I don’t have a diagnosed issue but I’m trying GF to see if it improves my digestive system (chronic constipation, bloating, no appetite)

Honestly the blueberries were unreal haha

I hope it helps you! Just as a side note look up magnesium supplements if you've not already - really helped my constipation and bloating (sorry I'm not trying to be a Mumsnet Dr 🤣)

If you are eating sausage not sure how GF your diet is....

And if they were 100% pure pork not sure how they tasted sweet because pure pork sausages are totally gross....
