To stop showing men that I’m caring?

That goes for men in all areas of life - work, family, friendships, even strangers. I’ve realised that many men interpret a woman’s kindness as something to exploit. So I stopped. I no longer volunteer emotional labour, support, or concern just because I’m “nice”. I’m not hostile, I’m just done performing care for people who don’t value it.

Now, I reserve my energy for myself, for women, kids, pets, or anyone who genuinely deserves it. If someone tries to guilt me into playing therapist, cheerleader, or unpaid emotional support? Not my problem.

AIBU to draw that line?

That's fine. Just be prepared for it to be reciprocated.
