Vaginal Dryness in my 20s?!

Helpmesettle · 13/08/2025 22:03

So I'm experiencing severe vaginal dryness, discomfort during sex and absolutely NO libido. This is not usual for me and my husband at all and I really, really want to get back to enjoying sex with him again.
Has anyone else experienced this in their 20s before? I am having a blood test next week but I'm worried nothing is going to come up?

Sounds hormonal. Are you on contraceptive? Maybe time for a change?

No hormonal contraception... think they're going to want me to start.

You can have vaginal estrogen at any age. No side effects.

I'd ask for that before going on systemic hormonal contraception

Are you happy in your relationship / attracted to your boyfriend?

My sex drive died in my early 30s which I discovered was due to losing all sexual attraction to ex-DP. The body rejects what the mind doesn’t want. Thankfully it came back around 6 months after the relationship ended. Sex drive can be a barometer for how we truly feel about a relationship.

I’m 33 and have had those a couple times recently. I am absolutely attracted to my partner and I want to have sex I am like a dog on heat sometimes but recently been dry down below and it’s really frustrating. Don’t get me wrong he’s amazing we use lubricant if needs be. I’ve had a load of tests etc at the doctors for some stuff going on and they are fairly confident I’m early perimenopausal. I’m on the mini pill if this helps. X

Sounds mad but try trampolining. Great for your pelvic floor and I swear it cured my vaginal dryness within days. I think it might be something to do with increased blood flow. Either way, it works for me!

Have a look at Sjogren's syndrome and see if any of the other symptoms are familiar.
