Tape measure v stick

What are people's views on this?

tape measure provides a more accurate and flexible measurement for body circumferences than a rigid measuring stick because it can conform to the curves and contours of the body, while a stick cannot. Additionally, tape measures are often more accurate at smaller increments than a standard measuring stick, allowing for more precise measurements.

I've done my height twice with a stick and it's less than done with tape measure

Measuring your height should not be taking into account any contours. You need to stand against the wall measure across from the top of your head to the wall and make a mark. Then use any sort of tape measure to measure from the floor to the mark in a straight line.

I know but doing it this way gives more height than done at a medical centre done with the wooden measuring stick and it's been done twice. Which measurement do you believe? The tape measure or the stick? The stick gives 2 inch less measurement
