To be worried about dd’s health

So my dd11 gets colds quite often and she’s had verrucas for a few years now that won’t go away no matter what I’ve tried. I’m hoping her immune system is okay. I rarely get colds and have never had a verruca. Aibu?

Get the doctor to run some blood tests to check for deficiencies if you're concerned.

Doesn't sound like a particularly big deal, unless there is more to it. Verrucas are a virus. My dds got loads, and warts on her fingers. Nothing has worked to get rid so we're just leaving them now. Her immune system will spot them at some point and get rid of them all.

It is natural to be worried about our DCs when they appear unwell.

Do you have any other DCs?

Do they get colds too? Is you DD unwell with a cold like high temperature, throat infections etc or is it a runny nose/cough type thing?

Verrucas are very common - have you taken her to GP or pharmacy about them for treatment?

The obvious answer is to take her to see your GP is you are worried. Or at least try the pharmacy for some advice.

Her sibilings don’t get colds usually. That’s what worries me. They don’t have verrucas either. We’ve tried everything to get rid of the verrucas but nothings worked. Im at my wits end.

How often is she getting colds? Is very very unlikely to be a concern, she’s exposed to lots of germs at school

She gets them probably like once a month or more.

My kids have had phases like this and also youngest had warts for three years! Grew out of it. As long as she’s fighting off the colds
