How do I stop the bottle? Ds turning 1

He still wakes 2 or 3 times for a bottle (formula fed) and I was hoping to have him off the bottle by now, I have tried giving him some out of a sippy cup but he refuses it.
Do I just carry on the night feeds but with cows milk in a bottle?
I would really like him to stop using a bottle and just have the sippy cup during the day and sleep through because I think he uses the bottle as comfort but I don’t want him to scream the house down and do I go cold turkey with formula and just hope he takes the cows milk?

With my youngest I did it gradually, I swapped out the formula for warm cows milk when she turned one and then slowly introduced a cup, now shes 3 and drinks from an open cup just fine, now its the dummy she will not sleep without it (she doesnt have it in day just at night)so I need to make a plan to get rid it this year before she turns 4
