Like if you didnt exist anymore

I sometimes see scenarios in my head about my own death.
But, I think that’s fairly normal. Otherwise, no, not regularly…

Sometimes, yes more so since I was widowed.

Yes. It gives me comfort we don’t live forever. Life can be hard.

Yes but purely just to get some peace! I won't lie, every day there's something happening and never feels like we get a break. DH feels similar.

I'm more worried about dying badly than being dead.
If I go outside and look at the stars I get a sense of how the universe is immense and ancient, and I'm just one small part of it. It was here long before me and will carry on long after I'm gone. I find that quite soothing. I don't feel the need to make any kind of permanent mark on the world. I try not to mess up my bit of the planet, and leave it how I found it.

The only thing I've really thought about is how to make things easier for my kids when I'm gone and I've done all I can in that regard.

The thought of death and not existing anymore doesn't scare me at all so I don't think about it.

I've lived about 80% of it and to be honest death holds no fear for me only the manner of my demise. As pp have said we are not even fleas on the back of a horse so Human's time here is as nothing. The way things are going I won't be sorry to go.

Same here. It’s comforting to know that one day this will all end. It’s also a bit sad because there are some parts of life that I like and that’s what I hold onto.
