To worry about my eyebrows??

Why do they look like this?….
They are super sparse and barely grow. I tried to get my brows laminated the other day but the lady said they were being very stubborn and not staying in place/laminating and she didn’t want to make them worse by going over them again with the products. She gave me a full refund.

Now they look like this?? They just don’t grow and are so sparse?

Help???

To worry about my eyebrows??

I wish I had as much hair as you! These don't look sparse to me x

Heimbach · 06/08/2025 18:25

Has this been a recent thing? Could it be hypothyroidism?

Clychaugog · 06/08/2025 18:25

Your eyebrows are entirely normal.

Nectarines · 06/08/2025 18:25

Mine were so bad from chronic over plucking. I had powder brows done five years ago and problem solved!

Gowlett · 06/08/2025 18:26

I think mine would look like that if I got them done, nor much hairs.
It’s a good result, they can only work with the brows that are there. I think the tattooed on brows don’t look as good as this.

dinkybella77 · 06/08/2025 18:27

Mine are similar but used to be much thicker when I was a teenager. Unfortunately it was fashionable to pluck them back then and mine have never recovered. Also noticed they became thinner when my hair did after having babies.

BrowHair95 · 06/08/2025 18:27

Oh thanks everyone. Makes me feel a bit better.

To me they looked really almost spiky, and really sparse at the ends! I have about 3 hairs there!

i did have my thyroid checked and all normal!

When I studied acupuncture we were taught that eyebrows that were sparse at the outer edges indicated a thyroid issue.

KawasakiBabe · 06/08/2025 18:29

They’re thicker than mine have ever been, lol

Heimbach · 06/08/2025 18:31

Good to hear your thyroid is normal - there are thyroid issues in my family and I was told to look out for thinning eyebrows by my Mum.

I didn't think anything was up with yours - lovely shape.

The13thFairy · 06/08/2025 18:42

My mum was drying nappies on top of the grill - I lit the grill; flames shot out and consumed my eyebrows! I have no eyebrows! You lucky bastard - first world problem /s

Summerhillsquare · 06/08/2025 18:43

How old are you? Mine starting falling out in menopause. Weight loss sometimes causes hair loss too. I use the Opti lash stuff on my eyebrows too and it has brough them back.

Overtheatlantic · 06/08/2025 18:49

I would just put some hair conditioner on them or coconut oil and then leave them alone for a few weeks. Then find a specialist who understands eyebrow hair and can make a recommendation. The best thing I ever did for mine was powder brows.

Overandoveradnauseum · 06/08/2025 18:49

I'd love to have eyebrows like yours!

I suffer from frontal fibrosing alopecia and I've had no eyebrows for years! I'm really self conscious about them - I draw them on but it's not the same as the real thing!

tumblingdowntherabbithole · 06/08/2025 18:51

They look totally normal to me.

EveryOtherNameTaken · 06/08/2025 18:57

I think they look fine.

Have you tried just brushing them through with clear mascara so the ends touch each other so there are less gaps?
