Anybody any experience with Air b n b?

We’ve booked accommodation with parking, however the fob will not allow us access to said car park. We have complained to the host who has just replied that ‘there has never been a problem before, it’s always worked’. We sent pictures/videos of said fob not working. She said she would let us know if somebody could help us. It’s been over an hour and a half- radio silence! We’ve parked on a NCP at over £30 a day as we have reservations that we’ve paid deposits for, we will be having a drink so unable to move the car later.

Is it even worth contacting Air bnb or should we expect to take the hit financially, bearing in mind we paid premium for a car parking space in the city?

Definitely raise it with Airbnb. The customer support can be a bit hit and miss but you should ask for a discount as this isn't what was advertised.

They have not sold you what was advertised, so keep your receipts and put in an airbnb insurance money claim for money spent on NCP carpark. Airbnb are quite good at resolving these in my experience but you must have visual evidence, sounds like you already took a vid of the fob not working, snap all your receipts and upload them to the resolution area of the site. You'll have to call airbnb first, they give you quite a long window I think it's 14 days after the event.

Definitely mention the smell. They usually act on this.
Airbnb is incredibly hit and miss. Unfortunately you can never be sure

Thanks for your advice! All noted- car still on the car park 🤦‍♀️ fingers crossed it’s sorted today!
