Today I called up to make sure a referral for a scan had been put through, she was looking on the computer for a few minutes and she said the referral had been put thru on June 20th, I asked if she knew wait times she said sorry she didn't but she gave me the phone number to call and find out if an appointment had been issued or not. Called up to be told that they had actually sent the referral back at the beginning of July as they needed further details from the GP. So I now have to put in an e-consult tomorrow asking to be referred for a scan. So along with not issuing prescriptions and not phoning to tell me why (it is always tablets I need to help with my FND to stop my twitches and calm me down as I can get into such a state I forget how to swallow or I'll start choking) and then telling me that a consultant is wrong and they aren't going to issue me with the HRT gel and progesterone tablets as the HRT patch I'm on is the same thing. The consultant wants to check if the patches were making me angry and lashing out when I was in a disassociated state with my FND. The consultant over ruled the GP and got the gel and progesterone tablets issued to me and we haven't had an angry episode and we have had 3 things happen that 3 weeks ago I would have hit the roof and screamed at everybody and anybody. I just feel that the GP practice really isn't fit for purpose
