Neighbour bonfire

I'm guessing there isn't anything I could legally do, but any advice for inconsiderate neighbours who have been cutting down trees and burning them?

It's been raining here all week, so managed to get on top of the households laundry yesterday. Started to have a clear out, so all windows open. Neighbours starting cutting down trees and burning it, which resulted in thick smoke and debris all over my clean washing and a rather smelly house. Oh and it triggered as asthma attack.

I rewashed it all today as it reeked, and they've just started up again. Now my house stinks again and I cannot bear the thought of washing everything yet again. I've tried knocking, they're not answering, maybe for the best...

Is this a regular thing? Or a one off? I dont think you can tell neighbours they cant have fires in their gardens, same as bbqs but if they are always doing it its pretty inconsiderate.

Twats.

Bonfires are for dank, dark evenings, when people don’t have their windows open or washing out.

Not much you can do now but if they do it again make sure you have a word.

Yes fairly regular.
To the extent people on the local pages ask where the smell is coming from.

Then I’d report them to the council, but also keep trying to speak to them.

Pretty selfish then. Ive got loads of old pallet wood i need to get rid of, I was considering a bonfire but actually I WILL take it to the dump! Maybe ask them if they can let you know when they plan to do fires so you can shut windows etc?
