To ask if anyone else had this experience after going back out? Chicken pox

My DD has had chicken pox and we went out today to do some shopping. She’s got around 12 of the spots on her face, but all scabbed and so are the other ones everywhere . I heard someone today say ‘she’s got chicken pox’ and then the mum pulled a face and moved her children away. Did anyone else have this type of experience?

It feels reasonable to move your children away from someone that clearly has chickenpox if you don't want to risk them being infected.

They obviously don't know if she's entirely non infectious.
