Reducing sugar intake is so challenging

I’ve always had a sweet tooth - chocolate and sweets are my vices. I’m trying really hard to cut down as I’m eating too much and more frequently than an odd treat. I’m just finding it impossible.

Does anyone have any tips or has done similar successfully? I’ve tried eating in moderation but feel like cold turkey may be needed. I’m on about unhealthy sugars rather than fruit etc.

I just don't buy chocolate, ice cream or sweets. After a couple of weeks it's easy. First couple of weeks are hard though.

It’s hard. I try not to have anything like that in the house but make sure I have other snacks - medjool dates with peanut butter or nuts or fruit.
