To be fed up with deep and extra deep fitted sheets

What's happened to normal depth ones, I'm fed up with fitted sheets that are too deep so don't sit taught on the bed, loads of creases and bagginess.
I've just changed the bed and dragged out an old sheet from years ago, it doesn't match anything, but at least it fits.
I tried to buy new sheets recently - deep, untra deep, extra deep... 30cm seems to be the minimum. My mattress is only a couple of years old and barely 8 inches - and perfectly comfortable.

And before anyone suggests it. I don't want to make it deeper by getting a hotter-than-hell foam memory topper.

I like them. I can’t bear it when the sheets come off the corners of the bed.

I'm the opposite way. I hate shallow pockets with a passion. They won't stay put. Nor do I care if my sheets are perfectly taught. It's not like I'm not bouncing pennies off them.
Btw, not all memory foam toppers are hot. There are ventilated ones.

I think I'm currently so sensitive to ruckled up and crumpled sheets because it's so hot.
The ancient sheet I found in the cupboard is a lot better at staying put - but I found a hole in it it's that old. No problems with corners pinging off.
I have bought a 100% cotton mattress topper that's made things a lot better (a simba one) - but even that has an extra deep skirt.
Maybe I need to resort to using flat sheets 😣

You just need to buy sheets for 20cm deep mattresses. It's a hit odd to get annoyed at something not fitting when you are the one buying the wrong size?

Opposite problem here. Only the m&s extra deep are big enough for our mattress. Everything else we've tried just pings off and isn't enough to tuck under the mattress.

I need super duper extra deep fitted sheets, I have a lovely mattress with a mattress topper and then a duvet on top, so bloody comfortable. Hunted high and low and all I could find was normal, almost gave up (especially when I wanted 100% cotton 600 tc minimum) until I went into Next.

I hate the creased baggyness of those deep fitted sheets, but can't seem to find any that fit my mattress.

I didn't know you can buy different depth sheets. My DD has a really deep mattress and can never find a fitted sheet that will fit always slips off. Where can I find them.

Why are you buying deep sheets then? I though places like M&S and JL did standard, deep and (if you’re lucky) extra deep.
