That my friend hasn't turned into bridezilla?!

My lovely friend is getting married next week. We've both been on mumsnet for years and have often laughed together over crazy threads.

I can't believe I've not spotted a single thread from her on here about the wedding. No meltdowns over napkin colours, no family rifts over a relative wanting to sing an acapella version of Aqua's Barbie Girl as she walks down the aisle...NOTHING.

AIBU to be a little miffed?

Sounds like she's got healthy relationships with boundary-respecting relatives and a drama-free bridal party.

Splitters. You'd think one of them could have mustered up some sort of batshit request for the occasion.

Obviously it's fab that neither side of the family is unhinged and it's all lovely and calm, absolutely happy about that (nods sagely).

But...but would it too much to ask for a tiny smidgeon of batshittery?!

In that case, you need to become a guest-zilla! Insist that you’re wearing white, or your daughter or son has to be a bridesmaid or pageboy, etc etc

Well you know OP. Sometimes you just need to step up.

You should immediately tell your friend that you will be officiating her ceremony in your capacity as a disciple of Mother Earth, and you'll be dressed entirely in Kelp.

Obviously.

Ooo, take matters into my own hands? DC aren't invited (small wedding, absolutely fine), maybe I could message to check what they're eating at the reception?! 😆 Hmm, I think she might just reply politely reminding me it's just me invited

Tell her you will be bringing three toddler relatives with you!
