I'm lucky to have an excellent dentist, who has gone above and beyond to save one of my ftmront teeth, would it be appropriate to give her a bunch of flowers as a small gesture of thanks or would l be better getting a large tin of biscuits to give for staff( so as not to be over personal thanks in advance for your input

Not unreasonable at all - I think I tub chocs/biscuits would be lovely 🥰

Depends if you had to pay or not? If it was a private dentist, personally I wouldn't, or maybe just a card telling them how much it meant to you. If you are lucky enough to have such a good dentist for free, yeah I would get them something (as well as the card, which is honestly the bit that will mean most, if you write something heartfelt inside it). But maybe not chocolate/ sweets for a dentist! I would stick with flowers.

Hi ,I'll definitely go with a card I get that biscuits might not be ideal gift for a dentists ..just not sure if flowers are appropriate ,I don't want to be senn going over the top ,but also want to acknowledge the extra effort that has been afforded me

I’ve always appreciated the things patients have brought in. A card or letter is so meaningful but flowers, plants , books, bookmarks, rhubarb, pictures drawn by children , hand cream , mugs , pens, bottles etc have all been appreciated .

I think a card would be lovely - probably not the biscuits/chocolates given their line of work. Maybe with a nice mug for when they have their morning cuppa?

How about a card & lovely plant if flowers feel a bit ott?

Diddlysqat · 23/07/2025 19:35

Hi thanks everyone, I just went with a card ,it hadn't occurred to me until mentioned (brain fog)
