Hi all

I'm taking my 12 year old to see Wicked tomorrow at 2.30 and I have decided last minute that I'd like to do something fun before. I can get to London by about 11am so time is tight and I have found Peggy Porschen Belgravia where you can get a morning tea. Has anyone been? Would you recommend? It's close to the theatre.

If not has anyone got any tips for something nice to do either before or after the show?

Thank you x

I wouldn’t try to do too much before as you’ll be rushing. Isn’t that near the palace etc? I’d sightsee generally , and will find somewhere to have a nice lunch.

For afterwards, maybe try to book one of the fun restaurants, eg where they project menus onto the table and you can order by tapping the projected menu? I think there used to be one in that area (no idea on the name though).

Opposite is a food hall where you can sit on the roof top

thank you. Good ideas. Any recommendations for a fun restaurant afterwards? Something novelty maybe?

Shopping in Oxford Street or Covent Garden is always a hit!

What station are you coming into?

You could get off at Piccadilly Circus, walk along Piccadilly and visit Fortnum and Mason, walk past The Ritz across Green Park to Buckingham Palace before arriving at Victoria for Wicked. This isn’t a long walk.

Food - I don’t rate Victoria really but there’s is all sorts in the new development. Eccleston Yards in Belgravia is quite nice - Wild at Tart in there is good, unsure as to what a 12 year old might like however…!

Or - you could do all of this in reverse.

Decorate biscuits at Biscuiteers! Enjoy. It will be a wonderful day.

Enjoy Covent Garden, or do a boat trip on the Thames? Pretty quick walk back to Covent Garden afterwards. Can catch a tourist one from by the London Eye.

Or for that matter, the London Eye? Make sure you have enough time though.

Is there something she is particularly interested in, and find a museum that covers it?
