Therapie Clinic GDPR what?

N/c for this.

Have a course of laser hair removal booked with Therapie Clinic - I think they are a franchise and they are utterly awful. First one was dirty surroundings, the bin for imitate cleansing wipes had no lids, therapists were not reassuring.

I read online that they use low settings, and start where they want and increase very incrementally over time. Hence it takes ages and you buy more sessions to get hair free. I've had laser hair removal before, where they did test doses to check for pain levels etc. Previous place has provided me with all the settings the lasers used over all the sessions.

So I decided to find out from Therapie what settings they used on my first session. Emailed their main email, and their privacy email. But no reply. So I phoned, I was told to email again. Still no reply.

I called into the clinic today (it is a bit a of a drive) to ask in person. The manager there confirmed they will have the details of my treatment on their system, but they can't tell me. Because, GDPR.

Its bloody ME!

Coming home now, I'm a bit fuming. The company has to tell me what information they are holding about me, but its impossible to get it........ This isn't legal is it?

TL:DR - clinic won't tell me details of the treatment they did on ME, because of GDPR. Won't reply to emails to their 'privacy' deparment.

Is it because they can’t verify that it is really you on the phone?

No nobody on the phone has access to thr info (you cant call the clinic, its a call centre somewhere overseas)

Under GDPR I believe you can do a Subject Access Request and they will have to give you all the details they hold about you on their system.
