How to cope on holiday with 2 children big age difference

Single parent holiday question, I appreciate that it’s a problem I’m lucky to have but how do you cope alone on holiday with 2 children with a big age range?
2 boys 8 and 2
8 year old isn’t the strongest swimmer but will want to go to slides / water parks etc but the 2 year old will be too small
8 is too young to leave him alone.
I can’t ask anyone to join us unfortunately.
Hoping as they get older / more water confident it will be easier but any tips appreciated

Pick a hotel with a smallish water park. 8 year old can manage himself then, and whack a puddle jumper on the 2yo, much less likely to drown 😅

There are almost 7 years between my youngest children.
I always opt for a smaller, more enclosed outdoor area so that I can keep my eyes on them both. A hotel that has a splash park area would be less stressful than an actual pool

Does where you’re going have a kids club the older one could join for a few hours in the mornings?
He might have some fun playing with kids his own age

Personally I wouldn’t go to a water park but you can choose hotels/pools carefully where you can manage slides quite easily

Thanks everyone, there is a kids club but I’m not sure either will want to use it. Next year I think I will stick to a smaller hotel with no water park 😀
