To join a pen pal club?

It probably sounds old-fashioned in the age of WhatsApp and email but I’ve been thinking about joining a pen pal club, something about writing actual letters, getting proper post and connecting more intentionally really appeals to me.

AIBU for wanting something slower and more personal in a very digital world? Has anyone else done it?

Do they still exist? I had a pen pal when I was a kid. It was fun. Also actually just remembered - I had one in my early 20s! However, I think it was a set up. One of my school friends went to uni in another part of the country and got me writing to this bloke because we were into the same music and stuff. I think she was hoping we would meet up and get together 😂

I did this OP and despite writing letters never received anything back. I've recently just cancelled my paid subscription to the service after three hopeful years.

Which one were you thinking of using, OP?
