Dh used to vacuum the fake grass every Sunday...

MysticHalfWitch · 11/07/2025 19:38

No judging from me. I’ve hoovered the trampoline before and, today, I used my Shark Hydrovac to mop the empty paddling pool.

P0d · 11/07/2025 19:39

It looks amazing

I've seen my neighbour doing that! I tend to just sweep mine...

tryingtobesogood · 11/07/2025 19:44

My neighbour hoovers his fence. Perhaps you two should start a club 😂

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 11/07/2025 20:30

To be fair, DH did once vacuum the road outside our property because the binmen had, seemingly dropped someone's glass recycling box and there was broken glass all over the road. He's good like that...

Shesellsseashellsnotinmystreet · 11/07/2025 20:48

If you Google my previous address you can see ndn actually mopping the path outside her property..

alexalisten · 11/07/2025 20:51

Everyone hoovering outside does it not break the hoover?

winnieanddaisy · 11/07/2025 21:05

When we were kids in the 1950s , we lived in terraced council housing with front and back gardens . The two ladies opposite our house were very competitive about their house and gardens . One would scrub her front step so that it was gleaming, so the other would do the same. They would brush and scrub the paths too .
One day the first lady had a brilliant white path and no matter what she tried the second lady couldn’t
match it . Lady number 1 came over to see my mum and told her that she had put cement powder into her bucket of water for her path and it dried white .
my mum had a good view of their shenanigans from her front window and said it was free entertainment 🤣

TheChosenTwo · 11/07/2025 21:07

I do our patio quite a lot!
it’s a really big patio and otherwise I sweep it in sections and the wind blows it all around. Hoovering is so much quicker and saves the back breaking work 😂

CarpetKnees · 11/07/2025 21:13

Yes YABU.
But, it's your vacuum to break if you want to.

I might need this. Could I use it to clean my rug and sofa?

Welikebeingcosy · 11/07/2025 21:18

I tried to buy a garden hoover from Argos but they said they'll be back in stock in the autumn. I'm at the age now where I'm counting down the days...

RobertaFirmino · 11/07/2025 21:21

I do this often. I've got a Hetty though.

MaybeMrs · 11/07/2025 21:22

Haha, I hoover the greenhouse all the time. Henry’s are pretty solid!

Seriously, we've had ours 4 months and it seems to be bottomless. I could kick myself for buying a Dyson cordless

P0d · 12/07/2025 07:27

Ours is a Miele, had it twenty years and it’s still going strong

I used to hoover the decking at my old house - because I like to walk about barefoot, we have a patio at this house and it’s ouchy no matter what I do
